The VATRA LLC plant began its operations back in 1992. The own production of electrodes is located near Minsk in the area of the village Novy Dvor. The production facility is equipped with modern machinery and uses only high-quality raw materials for welding electrodes. The plant’s capacity allows for the production of up to 400 tons per month.

Production Base: Numbers and Facts

The VATRA plant is equipped with modern machinery that allows for the production of a wide range of electrodes — from the most popular grades (ANO, MR-3, UONI) to highly specialized items for cast iron, stainless steel, and surfacing.

Our own production includes:

1. Coating preparation lines. Here, components (rutile, marble, ferroalloys, mica, and others) are mixed in precise proportions. The stability of the arc depends on the quality of the mix.

2. Extrusion lines. This is where the coating is applied to the core wire. Modern presses ensure the ideal geometry of the electrode without eccentricity.

3. Baking ovens. Moisture is the main enemy of electrodes. Our ovens remove excess moisture, guaranteeing that the coating will not crack and the arc will burn steadily.

4. Packaging and control section. Finished products are packed in shrink film, protecting them from moisture during storage and transportation.

Thanks to the fact that we have own production, we can manufacture electrodes in large batches while maintaining consistently high quality. The presence of imported equipment allows us to compete with the best European brands, while remaining affordable in price for the Belarusian consumer.

Quality Control: Every Stage Under Supervision

Having our own production gives us a unique advantage — total control. We do not rely on supplier certificates; we check everything ourselves.

Own production allows us to implement a multi-stage control system:

• Incoming inspection of raw materials. We test each batch of wire and powder components. If the raw material does not meet the standards, it will not be used.

• Technology control. Our technologists monitor compliance with drying modes, temperature, and pressure during pressing.

• Testing of finished products. Electrodes undergo checks for weldability, mechanical properties (tensile strength, bend angle), and the chemical composition of the deposited metal.

Such an approach is impossible if the plant does not have its own production. Only by owning all stages of the chain can one guarantee that each pack of electrodes welds as well as the reference sample.
